The Klon KTR is the modern successor to the legendary Klon Centaur overdrive pedal. Designed by Bill Finnegan, the KTR preserves the famous transparent overdrive tone while making the circuit available to a wider audience. Like the original Centaur, the KTR blends clean and overdriven signals to maintain clarity, articulation, and dynamic response. Guitarists appreciate its ability to act as a clean boost, subtle overdrive, or amp-pushing gain stage. The pedal features Gain, Treble, and Output controls that provide a wide tonal range while remaining easy to dial in. Internally, the KTR uses the same core design philosophy as the Centaur, delivering the signature tone that made the original pedal so revered. Compact and pedalboard-friendly, the Klon KTR offers the classic Centaur sound in a more accessible format.
